Mr. Man

Mr. Man is our very strange cat. He was given to us by the Sphynx breeder my mom got her cats from. He is the type of sphynx you breed with a hairless sphynx to get a completely hairless cat. His walk is like an English Bulldog and his personality...well that's a little "one brick short of a full load", if you know what I mean.

She Loves Me..She Loves Me Not..She Loves Me!

Ayana and Mikayla have always been really close friends. Audrey rents our basement apartment from us so Mikayla and Ayana are together alot! I also have babysat Mikayla since she was in Kindergarten. She is such a sweet girl! We love having her with us everyday. We often joke that the girls have a love/hate relationship where they will be arguing and not wanting to play with each other one minute and the very next second, they are best friends again! They both are very strong willed and stubborn, but they both can be incredibly sweet girls! We love you Kaykie!

The Music Man!

For those of you who know Jesse, he loves music. He will proudly tell you he has over 7000 songs on his IPOD. He is always listening to music. Jesse also has a knack for producing music. His instrumentals are really quite good. I can't really say I like the huge headphone look but it seems to work for him. Somebody should tell him you are suppose to put them on your ears though!

Summer!!!

Yesterday was the last day of school. Ayana is on traditional school where they are out all summer and don't go back until the fall. Shortly after school was out Ayana and Mikayla ventured over the cinderblock fence to our neighbors house. Sydney and Bella are always willing to play. The girls love to jump on their trampoline and I love the fact that Ayana has friends that I can see from my backyard and playing is only a short climb over the fence! Pray for me the next 90 days!

My 1st Wifebeater!

Zeke got his first pack of wife beater tank tops today. He thinks he is so cool in them! When Jesse saw what I had bought, he simply rolled his eyes...I think he is just jealous that he doesn't look that good in his wife beaters. Everyday I look at my little baby and see him looking more and more like a little boy!

The Adult Men In My Life!

All of the adult men in my life have a special place in my heart!

Brett: What more could a sister ask for than a brother-in-law that totally rocks! I really enjoy the special comedic bond we share. I am glad that you can dish it out as well as you can take it! I love you!

Aaron: We have always been really close. I am so proud of you! You are an inspiration to more people than you could know. Nobody understands me quite like you Virgil. I love you!

Zach: You are such an incredibly smart person. Thank you for your concern and caring advice. You would give your right arm to somebody if they needed it. I am forever grateful for many things but especially teaching Zeke all about Mustangs! I love you!

Dad: Where do I even begin? You are freakin awesome. Your talents are neverending and the fatherly role you play for Jesse is amazing. Thank you for all your guidance and love. You are the Man! I love you!

Jesse: The past 11 years have seemed liked eternity...JK! I love you so much. Thank you for being such an awesome dad to our kids. Being away from them almost every week I know is hard on you. Thank you for working so hard so that I can stay home with them. That means more to me than you could ever know. I Love You!

Beautiful Daughter!

Our beautiful daughter, Ayana Marshae Griffin is in her last week of school and has completed the third grade. We are so proud of how hard she has worked this year to improve in her reading and math. What a lovely young lady she is turning into. Everyday she and I will share some special private conversation where both of us come away either laughing or having learned something.

Kinkle!?!

During my pregnancy Jesse and I had a hard time with a name for the baby. When we finally named him Kingston in the hospital, Nana and everybody else for that matter wanted to know what his nickname would be. If you know our family at all we are famous for nicknaming members of our family. Papa seems to have a knack for putting those nicknames into songs about his grandkids. I thought we lucked out when nobody could think of a nickname for Kingston. Then one day when mom and I were in the car and Kingston was no longer enjoying the ride and began crying, Nana proceeded to try to calm Kingston by saying, "There, there Kinkle", which was followed by Nana laughing hysterically at herself. So needless to say, ever since then Kingston has become known as "Kinkle". Thanks Nana...I think!

Zekes New Fauxhawk!

Zeke received his first haircut when he was a 1 1/2. I did not want to have his haircut originally but after much resistance I had it done. Now he has his hair cut every six weeks. Zeke was born with a ton of curly hair and it grows fast. His new fauxhawk is the shortest it has ever been but I think he looks like a pimp!

Boys in the Bath!

Sometimes mornings can be hectic, especially when both of your boys have pee'd out of their diapers. Yesterday morning was one of those days. Zeke and Kingston woke up soaking wet and needed baths. I had a lot to do that morning and not much sleep to go on so I decided to not waste time by bathing the boys seperately. As you can tell, Zeke loved the idea but Kingston wasn't so keen on the idea!

And the Award goes to...

Ayana and Mikayla won awards at their Elementary. Ayana won the Personal Achievement Award for meeting and exceeding her personal goals for the school year. Mikayla won the Magnificent Musicianship Award for her dedication the the musical arts. They were both so excited and it was nice to see them receive their awards. Fortunately Jesse was home this week and was able to be there as well.
